About Needle Pain Management

This site, Needle-Pain-Management.com, was built and is regularly updated by MMJ Labs. MMJ Labs was started in 2006 to foster pain research and design of products and methods to decrease sharp pain, especially for children.

As a pediatric emergency doctor, founder Dr. Amy Baxter realized that sometimes procedures have to be done too fast to permit time for available pain control methods. In addition, she thinks health care costs must be balanced with the value of pain relief, and feels that the effect on the environment of unnecessary medical waste must be weighed in the balance. She created Buzzy™ with these goals in mind.

This web site concentrates on immediately-effective means of reducing pain, pain management methods that are inexpensive or free, and pain control that is reusable. We also believe that research and well-conducted studies separate myth from fact. As such, we aim to make the most important pain relief studies available in plain English for anyone to access.
